The Heart of the Matter

This feedback appeared on Amazon yesterday. I decided to share it, because it sums up the core of my intentions in writing the book way, way better than I can...

"There are many books out there dedicated to helping creative people make money from what they make. Some can be very overwhelming with the underlying message of "look at these people, why aren't you doing it too?". This book is different. It's based in the real world and understands that people still have to pay mortgages, bills and other responsibilities such as caring, parenting and that in order to do that they need to work away from the creative stuff (like me).

I read this and made copious notes alongside the text as I did. I will revisit these notes and the text many times to help me start my business. I believe this book will lead people into a well ordered and well planned creative life. Helping them to take account of all that life throws at them. I loved it and highly recommend it's down to earth and realistic view of how creative people can plan ahead, stay motivated and still live their dream. I now feel much more structured in my approach to my future. A good read."
J***y - Amazon 5* review

Notionally, the book is about marketing and business, websites and social media. But really, it's about people and the things that inspire them and the way they get to grips with their ideas in their own way, in thier own time, and on their own terms.

Thanks J***y, I don't know who you are, but I hope you stay in touch. I'd really, really like to know how all this turns out.
