Glastonbury 2011 #1 - The Launch

Well, what can I say? Back from the annual trip to Glastonbury Festival and the 'soft' - or should I say 'muddy' launch of  Make Your Creativity Pay.

We met some great people - Robin Wood, from the Heritage Crafts Association - doing some bodging, Tom Vaughan - demonstrating the art of Coracle building, and a lovely chap called Ian Thorpe who talked about the archaeology of  Bee Keeping. I also sadly missed Sophie Hussain - the stained glass artist who featured in the Mastercrafts series on TV.

I'm going to follow up this post with photos and more in depth info about all of these people.

Felix and I took some advice from page 83 - and made some T shirts to help with a bit of low key promotion. (Thanks to Avalon Ales for letting us distribute flyers in their bars).  Now were are back, and getting seriously into book promo mode. The paperback (144 pages A5, £11.99) is available now on pre-order (postage free for the first 25 to order) and the ebook (144 pages, 5 by 8, PDF and ePub, £4.99). You can buy them from the Paypal store on the sidebar >>>

But that's enough of that! Robin Wood is doing some seriously sterling work on behalf of traditional crafts, and it wouldn't surprise me if we see a new raft of crafts programming on TV shortly. Why don't you look him up and join the HCA page at: http://www.facebook.com/Heritage-Crafts-Association

All the best for now - I'll be back with more Glasto news shortly!

So glad that crafts are getting some recognition. I'm reading your Ebook and finding it sound advice other marketing material doesn't seem to take into account the reluctance of creative people to try to sell their work!!
