The 'Human Givens' - a self-coaching exercise

The Human Givens is a really great tool for checking the balance in your life and work - try it out.

How to use the 'Human Givens'

Open up the checklist here and for best results, print it on a sheet of A4.

Consider each area on the chart, and score yourself from 0-10 in each area - 0 being unsatisfied, 10 being totally satisfied.

It is usual for the scores to vary - however the closer you are to 10 in each area, the more fulfilled and rounded off you tend to be. If you find that you have very low scores in one or more areas, then you need to take action in those areas to bring things back into balance.

A lot of this can be improved on a DIY basis once you are aware of the imbalances. Sometimes it's hard to put your finger on the best solution - which is where a coach can be a really useful 'critical friend'!

Try it out, see what you think..
